Step by Step setup the Microsoft 365 app on Android
📲 Step 1: Install the Microsoft 365 app
- Open Google Play Store
- Search for Microsoft 365
Tap Install
This single app includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and sharing tools
🔐 Step 2: Sign in
- Open the Microsoft 365 app
- Tap Sign in
Enter your email address
- Work/School account → company login page may appear
- Personal account → Microsoft login screen
- Enter your password
- If asked, approve security prompts or 2‑factor authentication
🏢 Step 3: Complete work account setup (if applicable)
If you’re using a work or school account, you may see:
- A notice about device management
- A request to allow company security policies
Tap Accept or Allow
(This is normal for business accounts)
📧 Step 4: Set up Outlook (email) – Optional but recommended
- Install Microsoft Outlook from Play Store
- Open Outlook
- Tap Add Account
- Enter your Microsoft 365 email
- Sign in and approve permissions
- Your email, calendar, and contacts will sync automatically
📂 Step 5: Access and create files
Inside the Microsoft 365 app you can:
- Open Word / Excel / PowerPoint
- Create new documents
Access files from:
- OneDrive
- Shared company folders
- Device storage
Files save automatically to OneDrive
🔧 Step 6: Enable helpful settings
In the Microsoft 365 app:
- Tap your profile icon
- Go to Settings
Turn on:
- ✅ Auto-save
- ✅ Cloud backup
- ✅ Fingerprint / Face unlock (if available)
✅ Done! You’re ready to use Office 365 on Android
You can now:
- Edit documents on the go
- Join Teams meetings (via Microsoft Teams app)
- Access files anywhere
- Sync across phone, tablet, and PC
